November is hitting the end of my busy season. People are all trying to get pictures in while the PA weather holds on to fall leaves and brisk temperatures. Within this busy time I've had the honor of photographing two of my dear friends' engagement session. I met Brandi my first year of college as my freshman bible study leader and lived with her in a house with other girls her senior year. Andrew was also a freshman in the same bible study. Brandi and Andrew were always very close friends, but their timing never aligned, until after college!
Months ago Andrew reached out to me and began divulging the details of his secret plan to engage Brandi! For months he was sending my pictures of rings and I was giving him my opinions. He finally found the one and we both agreed was perfect for Brandi! We developed a plan to get her to Pittsburgh so he could propose. Andrew even met my husband and I a few weeks before proposing so we could show him some potential spots. He decided on Washington's Landing on the bridge overlooking the city. We told a few fibs to Brandi so she would think they were just meeting my husband and I for dinner in the city which is nothing out of the ordinary. We took a walk to the bridge after dinner and gave the couple some space for the big moment to happen! I stood by and snapped some photos of the event, which also was not suspicious since I typically have a camera in hand. In case you were wondering, she said yes!
Now, these two incredible humans that I have been blessed to know and love, are getting married next year! In seeing these two individuals grow separately and now together, I see that they bring out the best in one another. As individuals, they are honest, strong willed, loving people. And together these traits are just amplified. I am so incredibly excited to see where this new journey takes them in the next year and the years to come! I can't wait to stand by your side as you say I do! I'm so thankful and honored that I got to take your engagement photos! Congratulations you two!
